Equity & Access

HACC Equity & Access Program aims to support HACC Services & mainstream Aged & Disability Services to respond to the needs of special needs groups in the community.

Groups who have special needs

The following groups of people have special needs regarding access to HACC services:

  • People from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background
  • People from an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) background
  • Younger people with a disability, people who are homeless, or living in unsuitable and/ or insecure housing
  • People living in remote rural areas
  • People with Dementia or an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
